| Department of Curriculum and InstructionThe department contributes to achieving the vision of the University and the College through the programs it offers, particularly by developing and expanding its graduate programs. The Department of Curriculum and Instruction was established in 1394/1395 AH (1974/1975). It offers undergraduate students at the College of Education a set of courses, and its faculty members supervise these students and train them in teaching during their field training. New master's and doctoral programs have since been introduced, expanded, and developed. They currently include ten master's programs in various specializations under the courses-and-thesis track, and seven master's programs under the courses-and-graduation-project track. The department's graduate offerings also include four doctoral programs. Work is currently underway to expand these programs to cover all of the department's specializations, and to keep developing them in line with the latest advances in curriculum and instruction. |
