The Department of Educational Technology is one of the first departments that opened in the Arab world, where it was established under the name of educational means and technology in 1399 AH (which is now called Educational Technology) the Department has worked throughout its history to support the educational process by providing general courses and a master's program in the specialization with providing technical support to the departments of the College of Education.

The department developed its methodology in the master's stage in 1412 AH, which continued until 1430 AH.

In order to provide a rich educational technical environment to prepare manpower in E-learning and training, as well as to develop their knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the field of educational technology.
